Yes I have. I realized that this is it. This is the one life. If there are others I am still here right now at this moment. I tell the ppl I love every single day that I love them. I have found things that I really enjoy and I do them. I follow my passions and I dream. I have one hell of a satisfying life and I am grateful for every moment.
When I was a teenager a friend tried to commit suicide. I saw what her parents went through and I decided right there and then to be grateful for eveerything I had. Everynight before I went to sleep I would list 5 things I was really grateful for or had made me really happy that day. Now it comes naturally at the very moment it happens. I think about consequences of the future and I live in the now.

If you live for Christ and really believe the scriptures are always correct, you can live a relative Peaceful life. Jesus said that he would give you peace and joy if you believed in Him. But he said you would always have temptation and sorrow because we live in a world run by the Devil. When we get to heaven you will only find peace, joy and Love.

Love is the best word in the Bible. Paul explains in 1 Corinthians chapter 13 that Love lasts forever. Jesus explains it in John 13:34-35 (New King James Version).

If you put your trust in Jesus, you will find true peace and love. However, you must believe the Word of God!

I suppose every human has their own flaws and needs that are unique to him/her.

My needs centered around one main thing, that was to be in peace with everything and everyone.

I noticed if I resolved internal grudges Ive held towards myself, my surroundings, my family, my friends and even towards God, who I was taught was the owner of all things, I would be happy, like Ive never been happy before.

Its a constant and ongoing battle tho. I chose to call it, the real Jihad.

For me to sit down and cleanse my entire system every now and then, to face my fears as well as my grudges, to accept them and to put positive thoughts in their place, I have to be aware of my self on a daily basis.

When you ignore the child inside, when you ignore feeding your internal needs, you become sad, and sad to the bone, without even knowing it. Then you seek happiness elsewhere, in money, in relationships, in desperate measures.

None of that works am afraid.

Not at least, for me.

Maybe you shouldn't be looking for happiness, happiness is a fleating thing. Look for love, hope, faith, joy. If you want internal happiness, buy a car. If you want peace, find faith. Don't look for religion, look for faith in God. I hope you'll find what you're looking for. Good luck and God bless.

I found internal happiness through a book called the course in miracles.

Its sole purpose is to teach you how to have a close personal relationship with God.

The great thing is, it works.

Love and blessings,
Don

No I haven't. I don't see happiness as a realistic goal given that I'm a clinical depressive but I can still find a sense of purpose and meaning in my life in spite of that.

By turning to God in faith. he's taken my cares and worries and given me peace, love & joy.

His word says seek me and you will find me.

also says, One who turns to the Lord the vail is taken away.

So in essence until I turned to the Lord in faith, I was blind to the truth, and all this stuff about Jesus was foolishness to me.

Now God is real to me, now I have hope and feel His love.

Age I guess. As reflective as I was at earlier ages, I reflected on some things that were a waste of time. Such as my reflection.
