The intercom to security room is limited to talk time of 1 min in a condominum. Is it practical?

I would guess the whole idea is to prevent misuse, by people wasting time chatting when someone else is having an emegency and can't get through, not to mention the security people probably have work to do.

I am sure this is to be used for emergency only, so 1 min sounds like plenty of time , especially since probably it can take only one call at a time. If you want to chat more give them a call.
