No, Christ taught us to look for happiness in unusual ways:

Happy are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Happy are they who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Happy are the meek, for they will inherit the land.

Happy are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

Happy are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Happy are the clean of heart, for they will see God.

Happy are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Happy are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Happy are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you (falsely) because of me.

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven.

From Matthew 5:3-12.

With love in Christ.

No

There is no happiness in people, places or things . . . once you've been there, done that, the 'feeling' of happiness goes away . . . EVERY TIME!

But when you allow God to be Number One, try to do what you think God is leading you to do, try to be the person that you think God is molding you into, try hard to place yourself third and others second . . .

you wake up in the morning . . . and in the still of a moment . . . you might be drinking coffee . . . or brushing your teeth . . . taking out the trash . . . you feel the presence of Grace . . . you might have a small insight, see a Bigger Picture . . . these are when joy and happiness flood your soul . . . Jesus is the answer!

the cares of life will soon crowd these feeling out . . . stress will work it's way into your day - but you can recall the Peace - you can feel the tug of the Anchor . . . you can know that all is well, at a deep, deep level.

God cares for us and wants to make us happy.

Nope. That would be silly. These things are only temporary.
