It all depends on the type of results you want to see. If you are just starting out...you probably want to begin slowly and do some type of exercise every other day for 30 minutes like MWF and take weekends off. All depends if you want to do weightlifting or cardiovascular activities. You can do different cardio almost every day...with weightlifting you need to take a day off here and there each week to let your body rest. I typically lift weights MTRS for about 45 minutes and take off Wed, Fri, and Sunday. With that I also do the elyptical for 20 minutes and then go in the sauna and hot tub as well. Anyways bottom line...to start 2-3 days a week at 30 minutes a day then work your way up.

Talk to your doctor about how much exercise is right for you. A good goal for many people is to work up to exercising 4 to 6 times a week for 30 to 60 minutes at a time. Remember, though, that exercise has so many benefits that any amount is better than none.

It is said that you should exercise for half an hour every day (this is of course moderate exercise such as a brisk walk, bike ride, game of soccer etc.). If you increased the time that you exercise each day then you could choose the days you'd prefer to exercise.
Variety is also an important aspect of exercise as the whole body must be worked. This includes cardio exercise such as walking or jogging and strengthening/muscle exercise such as going to the gym.
Hope this has helped!

Everyday there should be some sort of physical activity. If you have a goal of losing weight you need to do cardio for at least 30-45 minutes to get the heart rate increased, 5-6 times a week.

They recommend 3 x 45 min sessions as a minimum. Best to keep sessions between 45 min and 2 hrs 3 or 4 times a week rather than one 6 hr session

Exercise , to be really effective, should be A WAY OF LIVING. So the maximum times the better.

Aim for 7 times a week and you will never look back thereafter.

At least 5 days a week. More is better, in terms of frequency. Doing even 15 min twice a day is better than nothing, but vary your exercise to include all muscle groups. Like walk one day, swim or cycle another, do some yoga or stretches another day...

you should at least do SOME form of exercise daily. And i'd so more intense workouts 3-4 days a week. Just don't overdue intense workouts, and stay active all the time and youll be fine!

3 to 5 times for the more active and excited, but 2 times is fine also.

you must remember to do something different almost everytime, but follow a similar routine.

For instance:
monday--- wednesday--- friday ( work out)
run one mile before and after your workout, do 50 push ups and 100 crunches total over the course of the workout

monday concentrate on chest and triceps
tuesday run and stretch
wednesday concentrate on back and biceps
thursday rest
friday do a light leg workout
sat. jog and stretch
sunday relax.
