Jesus said they will always be here, when his days were numbered and he needed his disciples to learn all they could from him. What now, are we to ignore the poor and needy as Pastor Melissa Scott does?

I don't know who this Pastor is but there are not a true speaker of the truth if they can make such a statement. I believe as human beings we are obligated to help those less fortunate than we are but more so if we are Christians. I am a Christian and I would stay away from someone who thought or taught that to be true.

I don't watch them much but heard Pastor Melissa Scott talking on live tv about going through the videos at some baptism she did, to find out who was asking questions. Another site said they have cameras outside and inside, even in the bathrooms.

We must install a system where the ressources of the Earth are distributed better. All should have food and shelter and given the opportunity to progress physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Of course the poor should be helped to learn how to take care of themselves. Giving them money and food should only be temporary.

Give a man a fish. The next day he is hungry again. Teach a man to fish and the next day he will be ok

The problem is listening to a woman who thinkgs she is a pastor - no where in the bible does is say woman can be pastors - it only says men. So if she can't get that very basic part correct, why bother with what she says

We can't ignore them! Jesus said in 1Jo 3:17," But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels [of compassion] from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?"
Jesus gave up all his riches in Heaven and came to earth wrapped in swaddling clothes laying in a manager. And worked as a carpenter making things. Jesus loves us so much that He gave His up all, even His life. And He said, "Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven." This tells us He loves the very idea of the poor even if it's in the spirit. Besides, if He ignored me being poor, I would be lost. And I know what I have in Christ. God bless you. I will remember you in my prayers.

No we are not suppose to ignore the poor instead we are called to do the opposite in Revelations. I'm remembering this off the top of my head so I'm sorry if it's not totally right. But it says "When I was hungry you fed me. When I was thirsty you gave me drink. When I was naked you clothed me. And They replied but Lord when did we see you and feed you when you were hungry? When did we give you drink when you were thirsty? When did we see you naked and cloth you? The Lord replied: Whatever you do unto the least of these (the poor) you do unto me."
