Honey pot, if you want to become muslim then think hard, I am muslim too, make sure that is what you want to do, i have read some of your answers and some answers are appalling, (but never mind they are their own opinion). As you know what is going in the world i totally disagree, i don,t believe in taking someone else's life it is against Islam, to cut this short, you need to have faith in god, and our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is Allah's messenger), praying 5 times aday, and just be a good person from the heart. In every religion, you musn't steal, fight, no drinking alcohol, etc. My opinion is that converts are better muslims than the ones that are born muslim, because before they convert they read about Islam, and understand it better. Just don't become too much involved like you see in the media, Islam is not what they are portraying. I live in East London, where there are many many muslims, we have beautiful mosques, for men and women, and its beautiful, If you do become a muslim, then i am your sister i just would like to say Assalamoalaykum Warahmatoolahe Wbarakatuh (peace be upon you). You must learn the kalimah and 5 pillars of islam. It is an easy religion to follow, plus its all about will power. May god bless you.

Firstly, you might already know the basis of the Islamic religion is there is only one God, the All-Mighty, Oft-Forgiving, Creator of the Universe. This concept is called Tawheed (it is equal to the Jewish version of Yichud)
To become a Muslim, you should go to your local Mosque and talk to some people there they can teach you more. I highly suggest you read and study the Qu'ran and see for yourself what it says. If you want a free english Qu'ran just send me a private message and inshallah (God-Willing) I will be able to do that for you.
To become a Muslim you must testify the following
I testify there is no deity worthy of worship besides God and Muhammad is his messenger.
You would have to say it in Arabic as well

Which kind of Islamic do you wanna be? Sunni? Shi'a? Salafi?
Do you know that in Saudi Arabia if a woman accidentally shows too much of her face through her veil or a flash of ankle they can be publicly beaten? And there's no recourse for the woman because she has no legal rights. She can't drive a car or leave her home without permission.
Not all Muslims are that strict. Still, are you quite sure that you want to be Islamic? Good luck with that.

I would recommend you to go to your local Mosque or Islamic center and they will have a lot of help for you.....

Join Muslim clubs at school and in colleges, they are very helpful,, but REMEMBER to have good friends.. be sure of the person before you become friend with.......

You will find many people who will want you to stop searching the right path. Believe in yourself. Even if you dont become a Muslim, it is really good to learn about Islam and the reality of Muslim. Islam is today considered as terrorism and Muslims as terrorist...........but they are the opposite.

Well I am living in the US. I thought everyone has freedom. No one can force another person to convert or do anything at all.
Everyone is on their own. Also, for your information, most of the new converts I have witnessed are single, not married.
So, there is no way that her husband forces her to convert to Islam.
Again, I think for every male, three or four women convert to Islam.
A Muslim can not force another person to convert to Islam.

The reason the majority of converts are women is because the Muslim male HAS TO CONVERT the women to marry her!! know your facts!! You Muslims find it hard to accept people who have a different belief to you. The western women accepts you for who you are though, but you still feel it a necessity to change her, reverse discrimination.
The women is most likely an atheist as apposed to a practising christian so this doesn't really concern her either.
Please also bear in mind, that people that convert from Islam to another religion face persecution and death. Most have to go into hiding and leave the country. You may want to consider this about your peaceful religion when you talk statistics about converts.
