I live in GA, I'm 21, I like older men, straight to the point. All the guys I have ever dated or been in a relationship with are jerks. Guys my age are like kids in a candy store....I don't like the drama that comes with them and their ex's... Were are the decent guys that are 25 and up?? They are not at coffee shops were I live, trust me! It's like teenage pradise there.

You guys need to come outta hiding!

I swear there's a shortage or a drought right now of good men. Hate to say it, but try match.com. Everytime I've done it I've met semi-worthy men that were truly good for someone, just not for me. A little bit of drama here and there, but not like what you'd get if you met a guy in a club (the WORST place to meet men).

Good places to meet guys:
1) grocery store (preferrably an all-natural healthy chain),
2) book stores and coffee shops that are not commercial but privately owned,
3) volunteering (habitat for humanity, food drives, etc)
4) Home Depot, no joke, take a free workshop - men are everywhere
5) if you must do the club thing, go to a wine or cigar bar, preferrably with jazz - this is where you meet the sophisticated older guys.
6) golf course - too cold right now but most club courses have a small restaurant inside.
7) museum or art gallery, weekend night especially if they're having an opening or a gala
8) take a class at the local technical college doing something for fun like car mechanics 101 - learn how to rotate your own tires & change oil in the process.

Seriously, I've sort of given up with finding the right guy in my town. All the men I meet that are intelligent, well groomed, polite, successful - dammit, they're all gay (they make wonderful shopping buddies though!!!).

You have to go pick them out of the gutter where girls a few years older than you left them a while back. A good guy would be one that you have to approach. 10 years ago these "nice" guys were the ones that every girl kicked to the curb. For some reason girls your age don't want nice guys, so even the nice ones act mean. Look for that diamond in the rough or start initiating conversation, you'll find one soon enough.

you are probably right that more confident guys are players but some of the shy ones would like to be.this isn't really a problem though -it is in your control to sort the wheat from the chaff-if in the course of early conversation with a boy you say that you don't believe in sex before marriage the players will mostly disappear ,there will be the inevitable big head who will think he can change all that but a couple of fruitless dates will see them off -the guy who really values you will stick around regardless -trouble is you probably won't find him exciting enough-its a hell of a business and you could break a lot of hearts before you make your final choice

Hey I say the same thing about you ladies. I talk to alot of women on line but they all have some kind of hang up If i dint have a pic for them they get mad if i just want to talk to get to know them better they get mad they want instant action. If you like to chat and get to know some one first you might just get a decent guy. I have the same problem as you.

Most of the decent guys have been scared off my selfish, militant women. They're out there -- but you're going to have to show you're different from the crowd. Get out there and show them you're a girl.

Dress like a girl. Act like a girl. Gently does it.

My mom always says ,"All the good guys are either married or gay"! I would suggest looking for a good man at church or in a well defined community

I WOULD SAY MOST ARE WORKING MOST OF THE TIME AND TAKING CARE OF FAMILY THE REST OF THE TIME.
THE STRANGE THING IS ONCE A WOMEN FINDS A GOOD MAN WHO IS MATURE AND WORTH DEVOTING TO THEY DON'T REALIZE WHAT THEY HAVE. I HOPE WHEN YOU FIND THE ONE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR YOU ARE WISE ENOUGH TO HOLD ON TO IT.
