I read it from cover to cover, several times, before throwing it away. True story.

I mostly read out of the NASB because it is a literal translation in contemporary language. I have been using that version since it came on the market in the 1960's. I try to read directly through the Bible, reading a little or a lot each day depending on how much I feel like reading. I study issues in the Bible as they come up in my life through conversation, news events, or circumstances in my life. I memorize a great deal of the Bible, mostly in the epistles. It is the foundation upon which I base all my thinking and attitudes. After being a Christian for over 60 years it is just a way of life with me and I am not far from my Bible at any time.

I read every day using a topical approach. The pages ar worn but The TRUTH is still there. I select a topic and find everything that I can about that topic. I generally write a sermon or invitation from what I have found on that topic. I have read the BIBLE through and have begun using this over the last few years. I also teach BIBLE classes and preach whenever I am needed. I occaisionally, whenever needed. give an invitation on Wednesday evenings after our BIBLE Studies. I presently use a King James Version BIBLE. Itt is my favorite. I have at least 15 copies of the KJV and occaisionally give one away when someone needs a copy of their own. I have used a few others but I am most comfortable with the Old King James Version. Have a great day!

I have several different bibles as references. I mostly read the New World Translation. It's is more modern language and has put Jehovah's name back in where it had been taken out according to the oldest known manuscripts.

As a congregation, we are assigned 5 chapters a week that we discuss as a congregation at our meeting. All congreations are reading the same chapters worldwide. This is done starting with Genesis to Revelation, then we start all over again.

I look up a lot of scriptures when studying certain subjects each week. We are also studying the book of Revelation.

For my own personal bible reading I like starting at Genesis to Revelation. I have in the past started at Matthew to Revelation. Then the Hebrew Scriptures. I do have a program that you can read the bible in a year in book order or in chronological order.

We also have a book of "daily texts" that discusses one scripture. This is also the same worldwide.

I have a NIV study Bible which I read bits & pieces from, it's very similar to the ESV, the NLT I like because I find it easy to read. I've started reading the Max Lucado Devotional NCV from start to finish, I like the devotionals but not the translation as much as others, it is very basic. And my favorite at the moment is the Amplified, it uses extra possible words that the original writers may have meant. My wife is reading the Message at the moment, it's good, but very different.

the real bible is the jerusalem bible and its far better than all the others, its got 72 books in it.

The language in it is much prettier then the king james bible and its easily understood by normal people unlike the cometh hereth verily stuff you find in some bibles

Its the catholic bible.

I read just a little bit everyday just to help keep my mind with God,nothing taxing,

Sometimes i just open a page any page, sometimes i'll read a book just to make sure i've everything covered.
Around lent i read the four gospels instead of giving stuff up.

And thats it

We have 8 or 9 versions that we use for word studies and such. The one I use the most is my little NKJV.
I generally read straight through and when I get to the end I start over again, but sometimes I have a particular issue and I bounce around and look at all the scripture dealing with that issue.

I love God's Word! My Bible is a KJV (King James Version)
I try to read from it everyday. Before I read, I ask for God's guidance to help me find the right passages, and for wisdom to understand and apply it to my life.
I read for wisdom, for comfort, and to grow closer to God.

Which one?

There's the one next to my bed, gets read at night, the one on my husband's bedside that he reads and is the one we take to church, there's the one right here next to the computer that I use as a reference Bible, and there's one on the coffee table that has lots of pictures ... the kids like that one.

All but one are read from daily, well, maybe not all of them read every day, but one of them is definately going to be read from lol.

The one that isn't read is my father's Bible that we keep boxed up, except for special occasions. I have a few on the shelf too, collectors editions or given to me for as a gift or something, but I rarely pull those to look at.

My bible is a government issue bible given to me when I joined the Marines.

I read Genesis. I found so many things just completely illogical, I couldn't read anymore.
