Hi, my family and I are moving from HK (I am a scouser but my missus is Taiwanese). I have a position in the NE of England but I can basically live anywhere in the NE. So, the question is, which is the best place to live in the North East? Is Northumberland a good place or is the City of Durham better? Which towns are most favourable? What type of house prices for a decent place?

Thx

It depends on where your position is located, because you don't want to spend a long time travelling, especially on the A1...its horrendous at rush-hour. Durham is nice, but expensive, Morpeth, Alnwick, Ponteland and Darras Hall are all nice places, but very expensive. Then again Newcastle is a fantastic place to live, with lots of variety and plenty of choice of areas to live in
