Is there any difference in these,muy recipe says cornstarch but can I use cornflour.

Hi, there isn't any difference except the Americans call it Cornstarch & we call it Cornflour, they do exactly the same thing,all it is is a thickening agent

They are both the same thing, the American version is called cornstarch. You are safe to use cornflour in your recipe

America- cornstarch. Britain - cornflower. That is the only difference.

actually, there IS a difference. Corn STARCH is a fine, velvety flour. corn FLOUR is less fine than starch, and is usually found in the mexican foods section of the store, Corn flour is less fine than corn MEAL. Corn flour is used for making things like tamales and tortillas, whereas corn starch is used to thicken sauces. Corn meal is used for cornbread, hushpuppies, etc. Its all just a matter of the texture, much like regular and powdered sugar,

same thing, I think cornstarch is the American name.
