Can anyone please give me a VALID reason?? Don't give me these lame excuses of how they are hard working and only want a better life for their families. Those stories do not fly!! Why should illegals be given SPECIAL TREATMENT?????

Millions of other immigrants came to the US because they are hard working and to get a better life! But unlike illegals, they actually became US Citizens!! What part of that don't illegals seem to understand??????????

They should not. We must never reward law breakers, these people are openly and knowingly breaking our laws. Many have been deported up to 6 times, each time coming back. Also many have knowingly used stolen IDs and SS cards to get jobs and benefits. If we do give amnesty it would be a slap in the face to those who, payed the fees, did the paper work, and waited, sometimes for years, to do it the right way.

Here's my answer, copied and pasted from another "amnesty" question that I answered:
There are a lot of pro-amnesty people who think that because these immigrants have come from an impoverished country/political instability/lack of job opportunities/poor living conditions, that we should have enough pity on them to grant them amnesty. Yes, it is very sad, the conditions these folks deal with in their home country. However....my great grandparents came here from Poland right after Hitler's forces bombed a church an killed several family members. They came here with the clothes on their back, and nothing more. They went through all the channels to become citizens legally, even though they had come from some horrible conditions back home. They even learned English. I'd like to know what has changed between then and now as far as what is considered poor enough living conditions to hand out amnesty.

They shouldn't and they won't.

My response to anyone saying "it is just SO hard for them to become legal" is that if it is too hard then stay in Mexico where life is easy. No demands to learn a new language or to support a country you hate and will never have loyalty to or become a real part of.

Moot point though as they will NEVER receive amnesty. The American people will not allow it and those who would have to enact the laws will be up for election in two years know the publics feelings and would rather have a job than support amnesty for criminals. DEPORT NOW!

There's no justifiable reason why they should be granted amnesty, but there are plenty of reasons why they shouldn't.

Yet, our leader, in his last (of too many) appearances is still pushing for that same worthless approach to the problem. Been there- done that! The last amnesty program was a failure, because here we are discussing the same old issue........

We need to control our borders. If Mexico was next to Saudi Arabia, instead of the U.S., do you believe that they would be as kind as we are to border violators??

ICE needs to be given a large set of teeth AND encouraged to bite with them. Nice doesn't work...............

The answer is, so that they can vote for our worthless politicians. There is no other reason.

Dont be brainwashed by our politicians. Illegal aliens are ruining this country. Dont you know that it is both the Dems and Repubs that are working together to ruin this country? They are sucking the life out of us by giving this country away to corruption and immorality. The USA has had it, for greed, power and money designed and implemented by both camps. Dont be blind!!!

While you are at it, and while we still have this freedom, do some shopping at Amazon -

The United States is losing money. If you help immigrants then you help the economy generate more jobs. After 9/11 there has been a 20% drop in immigration to the U.S. because people didn't want to immigrate here. That 20% drop made the US lose billions of dollars. Might as well give the 12 million illegals that are here amnesty and a faster way to get their green cards. It will only help in the long run.

Illegals should never be given amnesty!! I don't think our government really realizes the impact that these people have had on our country, they are destroying it. They don't deserve amesty!
