I don't understand how this question came up. In my home, there is never any wine left in an open bottle!

For Red, I would just leave it out, but then chill it a little before you drink it again (the lighter the wine the more it should chill).
For White, the refrigerator is ok, but really it is too cold.
I would not wait more than a day or two to finish the bottle. After that you are better off just throwing it away and buying a new bottle.
A new $10 bottle will taste better than a week old $30 bottle.

That depends on the wine, most of them have indications for that, white wines are mostly served cold, while red wines are served at room temperature, the bottle should indicate that, when they need refrigeration they usually say with big letters "need refrigeration" If they don't say that they are room temperature wines, most of the wines are room temperature... do not refrigerate a wine if not required will change the taste, If you are uncertain about the bottle you have, better room temperature.
God bless you

With wine, people get confused about the difference between serving temperature and storing temperature. You want to store it in a cool place (a fridge if you have nothing better), to preserve the wine's flavor. Wine cellars's target 55 degrees, but colder won't hurt it (warmer will). A fridge is usually aroubd 45.

Just be sure to bring red wine up to just below room temp (65 or so) and white a little cooler before serving.

Refrigerate!!! you are not serving a fresh bottle, otherwise you are working on vinegar. but here are some tips...
put it in a container that fits the amount you have left. I use water or soda bottles 12oz or so. Air is the enemy, so the less air left in the container the better.
if you let it set more than a day or two you will see a remarkabe drop in flavor but you could still adequately cook with it.
if you do plan to cook with it you can freeze it, use an ice cube tray and use a cube when you need.
