Recenly I put an ad in the paperto giveaway kittenss. Two people rang and arranged to view the kittens at certain times did not show up as expected.Do Yahoo Answerers think that viewers should at least have the common courtesy to ring and let the seller know that they are not coming?Twice I hung around home when I needed to go out.

They should certainly call you if they fail to make an appointment. In the future when you are in this position (hopefully you will get the cat fixed unless you are a breeder), confirm the appointment verbally at the end of the call, as if you are writing it down. Then ask the caller to please call you if they see that they will not be able to make it. Give them your first name and number so they can write it down (in case they lost the number in all of the ads). That may help.

It is absolutely rude! Do they think you have no life and were just planning to hang around all day waiting for them? It is common courtesy to call and tell someone that you are not going to be able to make the appointment. Good luck with selling your kittens.

Yes, that was very rude. If you do continue to post your ad and do not have the following statement in it : Serious Inquiries Only, then you might want to consider putting it in. That way, people will get the hint that you mean business.
