No, but consider going to 6" tiles with a kitchen theme on some of them.

In my opinion, the tile size is based on the look you want... the smaller the tile; generally; the more it will become "noticed" on the wall (or floor). 4" tiles are ok for sure... by me

Not at all. Lot's of people have them. But ultimately, it really all just depends on what you like. Your the one going to be living there and looking at it. If you like it, good enough. Who cares if no one else does. It's your house. Do what "you" like.

If you like them, it doesn't really matter what other people think about it. You are the one that has to look at it everyday, so if you are not sure--look around until you find something that you really like (especially if it would be hard to change).

that's what I have, and I really like them. I opted for plain white because it has the look I want, crisp and clean and sort of 1950's-ish. then I painted the walls a different color.
