Does Brewer's Yeast have another culinary name?

It can also go by the name: Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which is the Latin or scientific name. I am not aware of any "culinary" name as such though apart from Brewing Yeast. Brewer’s Yeast is:

The dried cells of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (a fungus). It is a known rich source of B Complex vitamins, protein (providing all essential amino acids), and minerals, including a biologically active form of chromium known as glucose tolerance factor. It is generally a by-product of the brewing industry.
