I want to find a web site where I can down load free or very cheap Literacy and Numeracy resources. I am looking for large numbers or number lines, High Frequency Word cards and 100 squares.

Mmm, your school really should have a budget to provide you with these... Don't let your headteacher neglect your need for proper resources, dear.
I ended up having to make my own on PC and laminate them, but that is very time-consuming and really NOT in our job description...

The British Council for kids website has a lot of resources that are simple and clear - posters, worksheets, stories, activities, that you can print out for free. I find it very helpful. :)

MMM you are definitely S-African [Sarafina] . Why not write to all the huge company's, ask them to help you out with posters for your classroom, i am sure they will acommodate you. They have helped a friend of mine with some posters on cereals etc.
Good luck to you:))
