You should be able to find a really nice trouser suit (I'm guessing you're not a fan on skirts). Find a nice top for underneath the jacket. You want to feel comfortable in what you wear, but feel nice, as it can be a long day. You do have time on your side though, because you can buy the outfit this year, depending where you live you can buy it when it is the right season.

Its really gonna depend on the formality of the wedding. If its a casual afternoon wedding then I would htink thta as long as its a nicer pants suit then you should be ok, or a nice skirt and jacket suit would be fine, but if shes wanting more evening time formal, then you may need to go with something a little nicer, not necessarily floor length gown type nicer, my wedding at 6 and my moms wearing a coctail dress that hits slightly below the knee cuz she refused to go that formal, and it will look really nice on her and the dress fits the wedding. Why don't you and your daughter talk about what she has in mind for it and go shopping together and figure out something that will be suitable for the both of you! good luck!

Do you have someone else you can go with. A niece or a close friend?
If not go into a shop and tell the assistant what you are after. They would be use to dealing with Mothers of the bride all the time and they can tell you what is appropriate.
A trouser suit can be very beautiful. I have told my mother to wear whatever she feels comfortable in. I am sure you will look beautiful so don't stress.
Good Luck.

You need to wear something that makes you comfortable and makes you feel beautiful. If you can't find a dress that you like, but there's a pant suit that looks good, ask your daughter if she likes it. Do some looking around before you ask her opinion of your favorites. That way you've already filtered out the stuff you don't want.

You need to be comfortable and dressie at the same time. Go to a shop where they sell wedding dresses. They will help you find something lovely to wear and they will taylor it to your size. I dont think ther is anything wrong with wearing a trouser suit if that is what make you comfortable.

You can wear whatever you want as long as it's nice. The day is about your daughter, not you. Everyone's eyes are going to be on her and they're not going to care if you wear a dress or not. A pants suit would be just fine if that's what you're comfortable wearing.

It's your daughters wedding, so it should be a special day for her but also for you too. Find something that makes you feel special when you put it on and if it happens to be a really nice trouser suit then i don't see anything wrong with that. Accessorise it, if need be, to give it that special touch. When you find that special outfit wear it with pride and enjoy the day.

I would go to where she is getting the bridemaids dress done and see if they have anything. You don't have to buy just look and remember you have to "match" the wedding party for the pictures. By match- if they are wearing Kelly green you need to have a dress that look good against them not hot pink.

You can wear what you like as long as its nice. But if you are a petite, and want soemthing nice to wear i suggest Anne Taylor or Talbot they have nice things for small/short people ..at 5'1 i feel the problem. That is wear a lot of my family shop. Mom is 5'2 and so is my sister.
