If you have asked Jesus into your heart, yes you are a Christian. Read about Paul's struggles with sin in ROmans, chapter 7, verses 14-25 (I think). You are saved by grace, not by your ability to not sin.
Read your Bible frequently and ask God to help you grow in Him. Soon you will not fall back into your old ways so easily... although, life is an uphill climb, and new challenges will come. Stay close to God in prayer, and Bible study, and in fellowhip with other believers whenever you can.
You don't HAVE to do another thing. But, I have found, that when I DO go to church, I am encouraged and strengthened by other people who may have struggled with similar things but who have overcome.
I also don't go to church regularly... then again, I also struggle ALONE a lot, too. That's the challenge I've been working on... getting my duff out of bed and going to church, if nothing else, just to have coffee and get some fellowship.
Email me, if you want.

To be a Christian you must first accept Jesus as lord and sabior of your life. He knows thta we will always sin , but he died on the cross for those sins. However, we should repent of our wrongdoings so thta we will not be traped in sin. Just because he died for our sins doesn't mean that we can sin all we like. You should just ask Jesus to forgive you, and if you are really sorry for what you did... he will forgive you. You should go to church once a week, because he commands us to do that and I am sure that it is hard at first, but it will become easier to do later on.

Hope This Helps you...

A Christian is someone who knows Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and have accepted Him into our hearts.
We're all sinners and we all have to ask for forgiveness for our back sliding. Just pray and ask for forgiveness and the strength to do better.

A Christian is someone who has accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
No, you don't have to. But its recommended for spiritual growth.
We're all not perfect, many christians experience that too. But maybe you really weren't completely offering yourself up to God..?
Check your heart, did you really commit? or was it just words coming out of your mouth.

I really can't answer that, only God can tell you the answer to that.

But, just think, the only Bible other people can read is going to be your life. So your testimony will have an effect. Do you want me to pray for you? even though i'm a stranger, i'll pray for you though.

A Christian is a follower of Jesus, and Jesus was the image of God. So a Christian is an obedient person who loves God and his commandments.

Yes, the bible says you should not forsake the gathering. Christian meeting are beneficial to encourage you and give you spiritual strength so that you don't back-slide.

Even in the old testament, God commanded them to congregate.

Yes grace is there for you, that is why he saved you,
Get into the Bible, your back sliding due to lack of wisdom of who just saved you.
Your not going to change all at once, no,,,, it takes time, to prefect you in Christ.
You keep going back cause you have not grabbed a hold of his hand, read John 1, you will find out, Jesus is the Bible, read it, you wont change all at once, but in a year of reading it, you will see a great difference.
You need to fellowship, find people of faith, they can help you, pray for you, get into a good chat room,
WE have no real answers except what we find in the Bible,
But, doesn't mean your not saved. You just have to be outside the city when you die, and wait for the people who knew the word teach you, You don't learn it here, you will learn it there.
So, biblegateway.com is a good place to start reading, find one you can understand there, then go get it.
But trust me, you want to go into the city, not stand at the river eating leaves till I get there. Do You?

Your foundation is in Christ, without a foundation, you keep going back to the lifestyle your use to.
Stop that. Get a foundation of love from Jesus, its not all you need you need the word. HOLY BIBLE>>
You will make it.

You are a Christian and have the right to call yourself one. The reason why people emphasize church attendance so much is because it is good to be around people who have been thru some of the things that you are going thru now and they can be a source of comfort to you. I hope this answered your question.

Hebrews 10:25
"Do not forsake yourselves the assembling together of those of like faith"

You need to attend services..be with other Chrisitans to be encouraged and strengthened
That's one reason you backslide.....you surround yourself with people who are encouraging and helping you.....

to be a Christian you need to:

Hear the Word
Believe the Word
Admit you are a sinner
Repent of thise sins
Be Baptised
Live a faithful life ( this includes meeting with other Christians )

good luck...........

If you believe in the teachings of Christ you are a Christian. Some people would argue that you need to be Baptized, but I don't believe that to be accurate. Having the holy spirit in your heart is proof enough for God .All Christians backslide, but by different degrees .You will gain more faith ever day of your life but it takes time to put on the entire armour of God Just have patience with yourself .
