Probably, but it's worth bearing in mind that if a partner has an infection of the urinary tract - which can occur all on its own, without prior infidelity - they can pass it on to their partner, which would arouse suspicion but wouldn't necessarily prove that the partner had slept elsewhere. So it would be worth checking the exact nature of the disease first in case there's a benign explanation.

On the other hand, if it's a serious disease and the partner knew that s/he had it ... almost certainly out of the door without touching the carpet on the way out.

Maybe. It depends. If I caught it because he was cheating or knew about it before, but didn't tell me, yes. If he didn't know about it and was faithful, nope. I'd hope it was something easily cured like syphillus though so we could just treat it and get on with life!

Only if they got it from someone else while we were dating eachother. Not if they didn't know about it and had been faithful to me. If they knew about it, then yes.
