Wow some people are nasty!!!
Homemade oven chips
Ingredients
450g-500g (1lb-1lb 2oz) potatoes, preferably each about 200g (7oz) (Kind Edward Potatoes are the best for oven chips)
2 tbsp-3 tbsp sunflower or corn oil
Method
1. Scrub the potatoes and cut them into thick chunky chips.
2. Coat in the oil.
3. Spread onto a baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes at 200°C/400°F/Gas 6, turning at least once.
For a variation, sprinkle one or two teaspoons of either chilli or curry powder over the chips before coating in the oil. And if you prefer, peel the potatoes before cooking.

Recipes
Rather than heading down to your local chippie, try some homemade chips, or this twist on the classic chip butty.

Peel potatoes and cut into desired shapes, brush with oil and place on oven tray, put into a hot 200c oven for about 40 mins, turning 2 or three times during cooking. Alternatively fill a roasting pan with oil and pre heat it in oven and drop the chips into that and cook at 180c for about 20 mins I guess ( for smallish chips ). Cooking times will vary

Try this.
1)Cut the potatoes into thick chunky chips
2) Drop them into boiling water for approx 3 minutes
3)Strain them and pat dry with a clean tea towel
4)Put onto a baking tray which you have sprayed (I stress use a spray oil) with oil; then lightly spray over the chips
5) Sprinkle with sea salt - not too heavily
6) Put into hot oven to bake turning once or twice until they are golden brown.

People are so sarcastic
I'm sure your question is not how to cut & peel the potatoes but how to actually cook them, try heating oil in the frying pan and then add the chips
A tip would be par boil the chips before you fry then they will cook easier and they will be really crispy on the outside

my husband did this yesterday and it worked great. after you peel the potatoes, use the pealer on the potatoes to get really thin potatoe slices. you can deepfry them on the stove, or griddle them, etc. Came out exactly like a chip. Hope this helps.
