That depends. According to current U.S immigration laws one border hop or overstay is a misdemeanor, any more than that is a felony. Felons will not be given amnesty.
Marriage fraud is a felony, no amnesty for them.
Denial of refugee status would be okay, provided no other crimes have been committed.
Recent illegals will also be denied, they haven't been here long enough.
Of course, this is all assuming that the previous tabled legislation is brought back. But no one is going to give a felon an amnesty, no matter how liberal they are.

The one good thing about it is that it will make those who are working here illegally start paying tax and stop them from undercutting the British worker by working for less than minimum wage. They'd be forced to compete fairly. But it would also allow many of them to start claiming benefits and demanding social housing. It would also be a slap in the face to those immigrants who had worked hard and followed the rules to get into the UK LEGALLY, providing for themselves, proving they are highly skilled etc. I know if that were me I'd be pretty p'd off to see an illegal immigrant granted citizenship and access to the benefits and "goodies" which I had had to WORK for myself!! Plus the illegals who are now made legal would just be replaced with MORE illegals who will work illegally, undercut the British worker, not pay tax etc. And we'd just have to have another "amnesty" in a few years time. It might even encourage illegals to come here, hoping that they'll be "pardoned" and allowed to stay! And what does it say about law and order? I thought we were supposed to teach people that crime doesn't pay, not that you can commit a criminal act and far from being punished, actually be rewarded by the citizenship + benefits which you tried to illegally obtain?! Its a very dodgy premise.

Yeah, I'm sure this website is monitored and based on people's responses can label them as a probable illegal. As well as the threats of hate crime and death that you hear all the time . From there it's a simple matter to locate them via their IP address.
