so the farmer wants to cross the river in a raft but doesnt want to leave the fox and chicken coz the fox will eat the chicken, but he also doesnt want to leave the chicken with bag of corn coz the chicken will eat the corn. the fox will run away if left on its own so what does the farmer do to get them over safely.

He takes the fox and the corn across together. Then he leaves the corn and takes the fox back across with him to the start. Then he collects the chicken and takes both the chicken and the fox back with him to the other side.

First takes over the fox and bag of corn. leaves the bag of corn as corn wont run away then goes back and takes the fox with him and takes bothe Chicken and fox over.

how can he start in the first place with the three things if the fox will eat the chicken and the chicken will eat the corn. he will go alone because they all ate each other :)

The farmer can eat the corn, thus leaving the chicken and taking the fox and going back to get the chicken... but then the fox will be lonely... I dunno! lol good riddle though
