How about a trouser suit they always look elegant if you wear some nice high shoes and a scarf around the neck to brighten up the suit - good luck with the wedding

What about a cream or caramel coloured trousers suit? Monsoon have such beautiful clothes that can be worn for weddings or an evening out. They have a lovely silk collarless 3/4 length jacket which can be worn over a long dress or trousers. Linen is a good choice for trousers and dresses that can be re-used for holidays etc. Marks & Spencer also do some perfect wedding clothes, try their per una range for something a bit hippy.

I do like the wonder woman idea- pretty flashy!!

If the reception is after 5- wear black, black suit is fine and still dressy enough. I personally am a suit person. I would wear a pink suit if it was a day wedding or black suit for the evening. Suit are great cause you can always wear them again and you can dress them up with nice jewelry.

Why not ask your mum to go shopping with you for an outfit? That way she can advise you on what is appropriate and you can inject your own individual style. There is no need to wear a dress if you don't want to as long as you look smart

Happy hunting

You don't have to wear a dress, you can wear a nice skirt and top in satin. But if you don't want a skirt at all then you can go for a nice suit, not a work suit but a dressed up one. Go look in Coast or Reiss or Karen Millen, they will have the sort of fancy suit you want.

I'm not much of a dress person either. Wear a suit with a spring print shirt under your jacket. That way if it gets cold you'll have something, but if it is warm you can take the jacket off.

So a suit would just be as appropriate as a dress.

Take a look through this link and its pages, next clothing has a great range of outfits ideal for a wedding..http://order.next.co.uk/page.asp?b=X39&p=98&o=1

How about a nice suit - either trousers or skirt? That way you can probably wear it again... A pretty top and jewellery will jazz up any outfit and make you feel special.

If you are not a bridesmaid, then try to stick to the colour theme that your mum is having. If not, then ask her if you can be one!!!!!

a nice smart suit with a skirt or trousers would be nice with a nice dressy top or corset. and high hills of course.

A nice pant suit may be acceptable if its not an extremely formal event. Otherwise a long gown may be more comfortable than a dress
