They should invest money on developing new energy efficient cars, that's affordable. 1 million dollars for one of them, you must be kidding. i think this is just too crucial and should be prioritized.

Please share some of you ideas, thanx.

Clean or replace filters on your furnace and air conditioner
- Cleaning a dirty air filter can save 350 pounds of carbon dioxide a year.

Be sure you’re recycling at home
- You can save 2,400 pounds of carbon dioxide a year by recycling half of the waste your household generates. Earth 911 can help you find recycling resources in your area.

Buy recycled paper products
- It takes less 70 to 90% less energy to make recycled paper and it prevents the loss of forests worldwide.

Plant a tree
- A single tree will absorb one ton of carbon dioxide over its lifetime. Shade provided by trees can also reduce your air conditioning bill by 10 to 15%. The Arbor Day Foundation has information on planting and provides trees you can plant with membership.

Buy organic foods as much as possible
- Organic soils capture and store carbon dioxide at much higher levels than soils from conventional farms. If we grew all of our corn and soybeans organically, we’d remove 580 billion pounds of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere!

Avoid heavily packaged products
- You can save 1,200 pounds of carbon dioxide if you cut down your garbage by 10%.

Reduce the number of miles you drive by walking, biking, carpooling or taking mass transit wherever possible
Avoiding just 10 miles of driving every week would eliminate about 500 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions a year!

Lastly, watch an Inconvenient Truth - the movie made by Al Gore. Please disregard all political bias as this is indeed a serious issue about the fate of humanity if we do not act. If possible, please spread the word to all your friends and pray we are not too late.

According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), this era of global warming "is unlikely to be entirely natural in origin" and "the balance of evidence suggests a discernible human influence of the global climate."

They have better energy efficient cars.. In fact they had the capability back when the engine was first invented but some jack*** decided to go with the gas engine instead.. And now it's just too costly to attempt convert over.. I mean all the mechanics that know about gas engines would be out of jobs, all the gas stations would be out of jobs.. and even then getting people to switch over would be hard.. people are stubborn.

U consider CO2 is the problem and it is not. That is just part of Mother natures first step in recycling our air. The plants do a wonderful job of recycling our air by photosynthesis . Temperature will rise and fall but the plants are doing fine.
