What I like to do is to prickle the (washed) potatoes several times all over with a fork.
Smear the potatoes in rapeseed oil (ifind that it dries up instead of soaking in).
Sprinkle the potato with some sea salt and place the potatoes straight in the oven (not on a tray).

Covering them in foil is always an extra good way to contain the taste of the oil and salt.

Hi put them in the micro wave for about 20 to 30 mins then finish off in a hot oven gas 5/6 depending on their sizes for another 10mins turning them.

You can do this several ways. One way would be to grill them on the BBQ wrapped in tin foil. Another way is to broil them in the oven placing higher on the rack so they are close to the top heating coil in the oven. You just need to keep an eye on them if you use the broiler because they can burn fast on the outside.
