I have known many soldiers who have been in Fallujha, Bahgdad, and other parts of Iraq and they have seen up close and personal the daily lives of the Iraqis and how they support the soldiers. Why is it that we as Americans do not belive in what is going on and our soldiers? Weither we like it or not, we are the police of the world and you tell me, if you see your neighbor dragging his wife and kids through your neighborhood and beating them, would you stand there in your window watching, go out there and fight him, or close your blinds? President Bush is doin exactly what is right for Iraq and us. If that same neighbor threatens to come after you after he's done with his family, would you allow him into your home or would you go out there and fight him and keep him away from your family? Now understand that your neighbor is Saddam, Bin Laden, Al-Qaeda, and his family is

Saddam is affiliated with Alqaeda and Bin Laden. He was a major player in their funding and through out his home you will see gifts given to him from them personally. I hate when people want to speak on an issue because they followed it on the news. The news feeds the Americans garbage that sells because we are so short sided. Watch the un-edited video with Hannity interviewing the soldiers who are currently out in Iraq, the tour of Saddams home. I really must say, please don't watch the news to get your information. You must understand that each newsstation has a political view, either democratic or Republican. The only man in the news that I can vouch for allowing both sides of the story to take place is Bill O'Reily. As well as Hannity, (coincedentaly are both on Fox News). If you do respond I would love to have a way to contact some of you to discuss it further. I wont be responding to the idiotic answers, but rather to the ones that show some intellegence in their sources.

This is where the media is to blame. The media only shows what get attention. Our troops dying and Iraqi's saying the want us out, and the insurgency get the ratings. I don't think I've seen a single news story about the good that's happening there. The construction battalions that are building schools, and other community buildings. The soldiers getting donated school books and toys for children. Yes a majority of the troops say the support what's going on, many have volunteered to return. I know at my base, we have had people volunteer to go to Iraq, and I'm in the Navy as a MA (equal to MP). There is still a lot of good going on in Iraq now. The Kurdish have paid for advertisements saying thanks to America, but you don't see them till late night TV. People really need to see the good that has happened since we have gone there.

no one argues scuffling with the terrorists, purely the techniques of doing that. Afghanistan-actually. If although, we can substitute a coverage the U. S. has had for some years and start up up invading and overthrowing each and every u . s . a . that would have the capacity to be a base for terrorists, we can be real busy. This record could mean we invade Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Saudi Arabia, (seen what their youngsters are being taught of their faculties???), Palestinian territories, the Phillipines, Indonesia and don't even get me all started on the capacity threats from N. Korea. the whole area is destabilizing because of this actual determination of the place we sent our helpful adult males and girls folk in uniform. We owe them greater powerful than to place them in an unwinnable conflict like this interior the 1st place. How can they now end a civil conflict?!?

Because the American people have nothing but the news media to rely on. Soldiers on the other hand can compare the media reports with what they see with their own eyes.

If the American people demanded accountability from the news media then you would see a more accurate picture of the war appear - and fewer soldiers shocked at how biased and negative the reporting is.

I don't support pre-emptive wars, invasions of countries under false pretenses, or letting my emotions be swayed by lies. Iraq had no WMD's. No terrorist ties when we invaded. And no reason to be invaded other than oil. Wake up. How do you not understand that in order for a soldier to get motivated enough to put his or her life at risk, he or she would HAVE to believe in what they are fighting for. Yes Saddam was a bad guy. But the world is full of guys worse than him. Why didn't we get Bin Laden before getting involved with Saddam? Saddam did nothing to us compared to 9/11. Ahh, but Iraq has OIL!!! And what about the war profiteering of Cheney's company, Halliburton? How much effort does it take to ignore the fact that Halliburton is making BILLIONS off of this war? Or the fact that Bush can't convince his own daughters to sign up for a tour in Iraq? Doesn't that say anything about the illegitamacy of this war?

So yes, the soldiers who are fighting the war may support it. But they HAVE TO. They may need to kill or die for it. But until the president can get his story straight about why we're there, and convince his kids to spend some time in downtown Bahgdad, I'm not buying any of it.

Most Americans are in favor of the war and support the troops sincerely. You can look at the answers in these forums and tell that, or you can look at the way conservative radio and conservative television dominates all sectors. No one wants to listen to the Air America anti-American poison, which is why they're in bankruptcy.

Imagine that. Air America broadcasts from the Bluest section of the US, and they're going down!

Don't lose heart. Supporters of the war aren't loudmouths like the idiots on the left who can't shut up. They are few and irrelevant.

I am an American and have always seen the wisdom

Some Americans won't understand it until a terrorist

Then, it will be too late...

They have to convince themselves of it in order not to go totally insane. It would negate their whole life if they didn't believe it was all true. I still support them even though they're misled.
