Yep, sure is. Don't chose death. You will just have to come back and do it over again. From scratch. You will have to deal with the same problems as you do now. Think about that. Starting over from scratch. Do you really want to do that? Life is full of ups and major downs. Make the best of what you have. remember no matter how bad you have it, someone else has it worse.

Depression comes a lot from a stagnant life style and to life goals, or the wrong life goals. Stress is caused when the body is under durress. Find a new job and move too a new area. Travel, do volunteer work, read.
I lost a good number of friends and family over the years. I blamed god. Individuals who contributed to the deaths. Ultimately, I craved death and was stressed a lot. I attempted suicide five times. Priest tried to talk with me, family tried confronting, and friends simply abandoned me.
I enrolled in college away from home, got a job in a different area, moved in with my self with no girlfriends. I made new plutonic friends and began to feel optimistic about the future. Depression for me came because I was looking at the same stuff every day.
Explore the world a bit.
Are we in hell. Hell is a state of mind. I don't think a pseudo-diety could torture us worse than we could torture ourselves. When we die doesn't matter where we go. Live your life like tomorrow is your last. Love those around you to the maximum and when you die know that you have no regrets or unfinished business. If it causes you stress it isn't worth doing.

Stressed and depressed, that's too bad. Yes, I've always felt that this was another form of Hell and that we all have different lessons to learn from this life. You could choose death but it is such a waste of time as I believe that death chooses you. I'd suggest you get in to see a doctor and the next step would be to go join a gym/exercise/dance class. Exercise does wonders for depression and stress not to mention toning up your body. Better men than we have dwelled upon the questions you ask and they've not been answered by anyone on this side yet.

You are stressed because you are constantly up in the air, away from the ground. You are anxious because you are not grounded. Find a plot of land where you can take off your shoes and socks and make contact with the bare ground. Stand that way for 30-45 minutes per day. It will calm you down. Consider walking on the beach barefooted also.
Get back to nature. Go outside more. Eat more organic raw fruit and vegetables, nuts and seeds. Consider eating less grains, dairy, beans, and refined sugar. Drink 8 glasses of a quality mineral water like crystal geyser per day. Get a decent liquid trace mineral supplement. Excersize. Consider becoming a vegetararian, or cut down on meat consumption.
If you heed these suggestions you will find that your demeanor will improve markedly. You will get a different kind of feedback going.

What is life is depend how we look at it, if we choose to be unhappy and live life with full of sorrow, then life would be absolutely hell. However despite of all the difficulties and problem, we still let go of our self thoughs, live life to the fullest, and even go to the extent to help the people who poorer than us, who need the help more than us, then to certain extent we are live life to the fullest.
Most of the time we are depress and stress is because our mind filled with self thoughs. I just came back from a trip from India, been to a state which is the poorest and lawless. If we say we are depress and stress due to life circumstances, look at those people who sleep on the street and battle with the chilly night only with a thin blanket, go to take a look on those hungry children who beg constantly for food along the street fighting for starvaion, go to Mangolia to experience how it feel that the weather is under 40 degree, they don't have insurance, no car, no tv, some don't even have a proper shelter, do we think that those people still have the time to feel depress and stress, they are fighting for they surviver, they don't even know that whether they can see the sun rise tomorrow or not.
Be contented of what we have.

I have thought too that this is actually hell. And maybe when I die, I'll finally get to heaven. Sometimes I look around me, and I see other people, and I think: "They're in their heaven. Their lives always look good and right." And no matter what I do, I have suffering in my life. So I think I must be in hell. If this were all true, this little fantasy explanation, I would be afraid to choose death, rather than having death choose me. I'd be afraid I'd have to repeat my life over again.

This is the only hell I will ever know. I'm saved through Christ and I know that whatever bad things happen to me here, I never have to experience anything worse which would be hell.
No honey, this ain't hell. It's called life. And yes, life can be hell. But always remember, whatever you're going through:
"This too shall pass"

You know better than I do as to why you're so stressed, but life is what you make of it. Mostly everything you face in your direct life is a choice you have made at some point. Don't forget that it's never too late to repair what is broken...

I was once in the same boat. Nothing has changed I still have a job I hate, no one to love and am completely broke, but I got tired of being miserable and suicidal, I strived each day to be happy. I still sometimes feel like giving up again but I don't allow myself to sink again. All you have to do is make up your mind to be happy. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and holding your head up high, you'll soon feel better.
Good luck
