By stopping the massive deforestation around the world.
By stopping all the water polluting industry, everywhere.
By connecting many rivers in many countries around the world.
By harvesting all the monsoon rainfall.

This would be a good start.

Seniors aren't responsible for this. Idiots who drive around in Hummers and other fuel wasters while sucking on bottled water and eating deep fried potato chips out of bags made from non-degradable chemicles are to blame. The modern consume-all-you-want culture and current overpopulation is more responsible for the environmental mess than you guys ever were. Personally I think going 'green' is pointless, because I can recycle til the cows come home and it won't make a difference because there are 1 billion people in China and India who sit in traffic jams all day and pour toxins into the atmosphere. What you or I do isn't going to make any difference in the long run.

The quantity of usable water on planet Earth is probably constant: it is neither destroyed nor further created. The problem is its distribution. Some localities may have more than they need, while others have none at all. Desertification can cause a region or locality to lose most of its usable water supply, and therefore it behoves us all to practise good environmental protection in order to limit extreme climatic conditions by amogst other things : limiting the production of greenhouse gases and other air pollution agents; avoid excessive use of insecticides and chemical fertilizers in farming; avoid polluting rivers, lakes and other water bodies; protect forest reserves and carry out more afforestation programmes and last but not least plant more trees on every available free land.
