Good question. To be honnest, from my experience, this is imposible.
doesn't matter if you start with good intentions, the outcome is the same. Its in your nature, when men and girls are toghether the human behavour drive's us beyond the line of friendship, ofcourse in time.
So my opinion basesd on my experiencess and beliefs is No, you can t be just friends forrever.

Falling in love with your best friend or your best friend falling in love with you is a very common scenerio.
It isn't surprising that you would fall in love with a friend. After all, that friend is already someone you like and with whom you feel comfortable. It is often someone you already spend great deal of time with and someone with whom you have spent thousand of hours on phone. You know this person's like and dislikes, concerns and deepest insecurities. And, this person knows yours.
So what is the problem?
Well, first of all, these feelings are not always mutual. The friend may want to remain just friend that - a friend. There is also the discomfort that occurs when the other person knows you feel "differently". ofentimes he/she feels guilty or maybe even threatened. Whatever it is that the other is feeling, it can become very complicated.
Once again, honesty is always the best policy. Even if it seems like being honest will mess thing up, possibly even destroy a perfectly good friendship, it is always the best way to go. In the long run, you won't regret it.
I know of many times when friends have become girlfriend/boyfriend, and everyone ended up happy. But, even when the relationship thing doesn't work out, with honesty, the friendship can survive and even become stronger.
so, if you like your friend as more than friend, hang in there.
Don't ever give up hope. Things will work out... one way or another..

I know lots of girls who have friend that are boys. I have a friend for over twenty years he is married has a family of his own and he is one of the best friends I have ever had. When two people fall in love there is a chemistry there...but when two people like each other their does not have to be anything emotional..in my opinion boys make much better friends than girls because they are not jealous.

doubt if a man and a woman can remain just good friends for ever. The sexual (not necessary sex) attraction, need to exhibit power and jealousey and a good friend can be he begining but given the right circumstances, this friendship can so easily cross into romance. If a man and woman in friendship hasn't crossed the line, it may be because they have another secure love life or are too afraid to make a move that if viewed inappropraite, may wreck their friendship.

surely. They should be matured enough to understand each other and their family back ground. Only by entending onself without any trace of selfishness and helping each other for their growth, it is completely possible to be so. But any one tries to get satisfaction to the flush insticts, they are neither happy nor friends. Entending onself for the goodness of others will surely help to be in not out.

It is possible but crossing the line is quite simple to do because most of the time people that we are drawn to are attractive to us. Even though it might not be physical attraction, there is somthing that really grips you about them.

yes ofcource, i have one close girl friend other than the girl I love. what makes us close is our friendship and jokes. if you stay away from hurting any person whom you like or dislike, nobady can ignore you in their life. if you are able to understand their feeling and contol the emotions, your freinds would be there for you whether that is a boy or girl. Always be patient, cool and calm. the world is for us...not for u and me

Of course they can! Most of my friends have a mixture of male and female friends. Obviously there may be some attraction in some cases, but you don't fancy everyone you come across in life!

yes thats possible unless one of u mis-take it...
i've been with two guys whom im so damn comfortable with but no feelings as such (ya know what i mean)
but this is possible when u are 1. happy with ur single status 2. happy with ur bf\husband or w\e....
anyway...even if ur attracted to ur frnd n have an affair...u'll soon come outta it if u guys not meant to be...n then u can enjoy ur plain frndshp..
