Well, her race is Malay, I haven't seen her for 2 years for now. She loves to smile, but she don't smile much & never show her teeth in photos. Someday if I fix a date to meet her, I will love to take lots of photos and take a camcorder to video her. Do you think she will smile in photos? Will she show her teeth too? Her teeth is pearly white & straight, like she wore braces before, but she didn't.

ask her first why she doesn't want to show her teeth while smiling. maybe her family asked her not to smile or its againts their race or something else. try it first with a camera that's digital. wherein you can let her delete the pic right away if she doesn't like it.. :)

she'll smile when she's with you, hopefully. if not, tickle her, or whisper her something sweet in her ear right before the picture.
its a different story though when you're not there to take the picture with her. have you tried asking her to smile? maybe with a situation where you don't see eachother for two years a webcam would be a good idea. that way you guys can talk and you'll see her smile when you say something cute to her or something...

You could always pull out a stuffed animal, hold it over your head and make kiddy noises with it. It works at the Sears Photo Center.

Say something that is funny. Then she'll laugh and you can snap the picture then. Or just ask her to say "cheese". Asking people to smile makes them self conscious. You gotta make them do it without thinking about it.

you can ask her to smile but in the end it's her decision to smile or not.
