Sounds more like Allergies instead of a cold! El Ni~no is wreaking havoc! The winter has been too mild, so the mold spores have been unusually high! Also, do you have a cat? Does he have stuffed animals in his bed that quite possibly have dust, maybe all the bedding needs washed?
I thought I was coming down with a cold, til I heard on the radio about the mold spores being high because of El Ni~no!

My son is sick also. His eye last night was matted together and runny. (Cold in eye) He has a ear infection too. Maybe that is what is wrong with your son. It seems like everyone is getting sick like this.
You can give him some allergy medicine like benadryl. Wipe his eyes with a warm washcloth. Yes he needs to see a doctor, if you have to do what i done i took my son to the er because his doctor was so booked up that they said they could not see him.
Good luck

Yeah, take him to a doctor, the people on here wont have a clue (the way some people talk on here sounds like they all have an amatuer degree in medicine)

Seek medical attention, however a 2 year old is bound to get certain odd ailments.

Sounds like either allergies/cold or pink eye. IF it is pink eye it is very contagious. You need to get to the doctors. I just got over with it with my 4 year old. The medication is great- gets rid of it really quick.

All three of my daughter's eyes water when they have a cold. But it's just clear regular tears that run out of their eyes. It is usually just the first day when they first get the cold. But if you're concerned, take him to the doctor.

Give him some tylenol. He might just have a cold. He might have pink eye. The weather change might have an affect as well. If it worsens see a doctor.

If you can't get into the doctor then take him to urgent care or the ER. If it's pink eye, that's nothing that you want to mess around with as it's highly contagious.

whilst my 2 365 days previous had a crimson eye, after he went to sleep, he wakened together with his eyes thoroughly close from crust...he had purple eye...It looks like she is getting it and it is interior the initiating levels top now. i could see if i might desire to get her in someplace else faster because of the fact crimson eye is particularly contagious and he or she would be ready to no longer be waiting to pass to daycare for no less than 3 days after meds have all started whether it is.

He could just be getting really bad allergies. I would try giving him benadryl. My doctor told me to give my daughter same age half a teaspoon of childrens benadryl for allergies and those symptoms.
