What can I drink instead of soda?

My stomach needs something...it feels kinda flat. Im getting over my cold. My stomach feels hot.

Try some tea - if you go to the store, preferably an organic one like Wild Oats, they have a tea for EVERY illness from opening up your sinuses, to calming teas, to healing teas, even laxatives. You can let it cool before drinking if hot tea would make your stomach too hot. For me, a tall glass of cold water with half a lemon squeezed in is my favorite cure-all. Lemon is very alkalizing to the body and helps in healing and detoxifying. I hope you feel better soon! :)

Have you tried mineral water with a slice of lemon or lime or just plain? Maybe you ought to google 'Ayurveda'. It will tell you about your own body, especially after a cold and what it needs to get it in balance. You know, like, something sour, sweet, pungent or bitter or even salty.

Water with a lemon wedge...room temp if you can tolerate it. For some reason room temp is easier (for me) to handle when my stomach is upset. Hope you feel better soon.

How about some juice..like V8 Splash...or eat some fruit....it will give you fluids and help your stomach

Drink some soothing tea. I like asian teas like the type you get in oriental restraunts. It like oolong tea or something like that... Those asians are smart about their herbs.. :o)
