I have. It's not his best, although it's a good read. His best two books that I've read are "The Selfish Gene", which I think is a novel and brilliant take on how natural selection works, and "The Ancestor's Tale", which uses the structure of Chaucer's "The Canterbury Tales" to take the reader step by step through the modern synthesis of evolutionary theory and genetics. "River out of Eden" impressed me too.
I think Dawkins has overreached himself in his latest book, but he makes some very fine points, and very entertainingly. But though he's capable of brilliant insights that will prevail in the future, he hasn't delivered many of these in "The God Delusion" - it's a bit second hand.

Right, That book is all based on trying to proof God does not exists.
You don't believe in santa clause either right? Why didn't he write a book about the Santa Clause Delusion? or the Bugs Bunny Delusion?
Why so much effort or proving the bible God does not exists if you really are certain about it? Why would anybody waste their time on someone they acutally don't believe in?
It is a really difficult task to proof that God does not exist. Actually it is an impossible task. Richard Dawkins is not very bright. or maybe he was just confuse.
But why spend so much time and effort on proving that God does not exists if you really think so.
If you don't believe in God why do you need to read this book? Is it to convince yourself?
Maybe because deep inside all of us, we know that there is A God, the God really does exist, or could exist?

Can't say I have read it all, I have it ordered, but most of the excerpts I have read are all based on his interpretation of the Bible and his interpretation of God. Most of what is not interpreted overly well, in my opinion. Will try to answer better when I have a chance to read it all. He makes the same mistake many make in assuming God would think in a certain manner, and should be what he thinks a God should be. Pretty silly for if you imagine a God, why would you suppose God would conform to our idea of what he should be like? Wouldn't a God want us to conform to his ideas? He also states that evolutions theory is better than creationists theory but has no more proof than anyone Else.

Yup, I have. Definiteley a good read with some interesting insights and explanations. My favorite part being his take on the Cargo Cults and how that correlates to the quick birth of religions and the difficulty of eradicating them once they take root.

I have. It's enlightening and well written. However, my fear is that by defining a dichotomy between faith and evolution, it'll actually hurt the science education movement in the United States.

And if you're actually interested in truth, I'd recommend "Mere Christianity" written by CS Lewis, a FORMER atheist who spells out all the reasons why Christianity is the true path...
