well, there are quite a few diet changes you can make to help get things going.
1- make sure you are eating wheat breads rather than white- white bread can really constipate, especially if you are eating alot of it.
2- increase you fresh food intake- fruits and vegetables are the best sources of fiber.
3- But, watch out for banannas- and along with it, other constipating foods like cheese, rice, sometimes even to much meats.
4- make sure that it is not a problem caused by a medication. Believe it or not, Tylenol can be constipating. some meds will contribute to a problem, even over the counter ones. A pharmacist can help you figure out if an over the counter med, or a prescription med could be contributing to the problem.
5- make sure you are drinking enough water. not too much,as the latest news has pointed out people have overdone water and become sick or died from too much. but a resonable amount of water, 4-6 glasses. avoid caffienated drinks, because they can dehydrate. you could have a soda, or tea or coffee, but make sure thats not all you drink.
6- prune juice is a way to allieviate constipation sometimes, and a small bit of it a day, or prunes or raisins can go a long way. these are bulky fibers that make it easy for the digestive track to move along.
7- if adjusting your diet does not bring relief, make sure to see a family doctor. sometimes they will have suggestions that work better, and even some over the counter meds they can give oyu safe instructions to use to help.

hope you feel better soon.

Drink 2 - 3 litres of water per day. Do not drink 30 minutes before meals and 60 minutes after the meal. If you drink warm water, it is better. While going to bed and as soon as you get up, drink hot water. Eat banana and papaya every day. Add more fiber food in your diet. Bendi helps a lot for motion. cut longer pieces and cook. Avoid white bread. Eat less, wht is required.

Try any of the following...

1) Take more fibrous items like palak (leafy vegetable) and other vegetables. Avoid root vegetables.

2) Take some spicy (chilli based) items like pickle or add more chilli in your food preparation, if acceptable to your other family members.

3) dont take garlic.

4) You can add onions fresh or cooked.

5) Take stomach full of water as soon as you get from the bed and try to pass stool. Even you fail, keep trying and you will succeed one day. Then, make it as a regular habit.

All the best!
