And you were there and they asked you to explain to them where mankind came from, like a quick history, I imagine you would tell them that god put mankind here about 6,000 years ago.
Now seriously, if they just burst out laughing, would it make you doubt your ideas a little bit? What if they told you that they have been watching this planet for 50,000 years because they saw tool-makers like us, would you think it was a test sent by god to shake your faith? That they were crazy? Or that maybe you need to rethink things?
I know it's a total hypothetical, but please think about it.
I've answered questions about "what if god showed up" and I'm a total atheist. So please return the courtesy.

Please note that I said "Creationists"! not christians.
And you don't know if they are lying... is that your answer? You assume they are lying?

I can't think about that. It's to silly.
Sorry, ET's don't exists. You don't believe in a creator God but you do believe in little green men? LOL
I live in reality. I have Faith in the bible because is historically valid.
EDIT:
Okay, sorry, I would give this a try. Seriously, if Aliens really came to earth from another galaxy, then I would firstly question them if they where God's Angels or fallen Angels, demons. IF they say they are neither, how would I know they are not lying and they are really demons? Demons did come down to earth once according to the bible in persons before the flood.
BUT IF they really really really where material creatures from another planet that evolved and came to visit our planet, then I would be really be shocked. I would then question the Bible validity.
But I'm 100% sure that little green men from another planet will never visit us because they don' t exist.

I have often thought about such a question as you pose. ET is the bane of religious dogma. I would comfortably bet that in 100 years from now, religion as we know it will be marginalized. Not because ET showed up on our front doorstep, but simply because of the vast realm of knowledge that is available through such things as the Internet. Most people, thank God (and I use the term "God" merely as a figure of speech), will be able to figure out that the Abrahamic god is no more valid than Zeus or Athena (and I do have a soft spot for Athena), given some time. We are at a great juncture nowadays, in such thought. My guess is that, even if we don't get a visit from ET, we can logically conclude that god is man made. That, in my opinion, will be a great step towards the continuing evolution of the species.

enclosure . Not many people get this close to the supreme being other than myself . Believe that frogs have wings ? Ever been lied to? Just kidding ... Hypotheticals are frogs with wings .But pigs really do fly...!

i'm sooooo surprised on the folk who spoke back WHAT **they think of** we can say.. it particularly is a snort.. So judgmental.. i could say study 2 Thessalonians 2:11.. Secondly, WHY could we believe an unknown alien over The evidence we've top right here? He foretold us ALL issues. we choose no extraterrestrial beings to attempt to cajole us that our scientists and our God are incorrect. It has on no account been performed and not in any respect will. He left a large number of evidence.. what proportion eye witness money owed do you elect? How lots archaeological evidence do you elect? those places nevertheless exist. it is those individuals historical past. No authentic student denies the evidence of the bible. in reality ALL yet 11 verses of the whole new testomony has been shown by ability of outdoors secular sources.. technological information has on no account shown one occasion of the bible that's no longer authentic. in reality technological information consistently enforces the data interior the bible.. As genuine.. So extremely it is vitally lots a moot component.. Peace and reward from Texas <><

First of all you think you are a total atheist otherwise you wouldn't bother yourself to use your imagination this much.
If I were in such a situation, I would believe that they were watching us for 50,000 years and never doubted it as a God's test.
I would rather try to obtain more information. For example where do all these materials come from?
How come the X-ray passes our body without being realized? What's the difference between two identical twins , one dead and one alive?

I think at that moment I wouldn't be able to answer or think of anything. I wouldn't even remember the history of mankind. I only know that it would completely change my life.
I believe in God like a higher power, but I dont think one must go to church or pray to be closer to God, and I have also heard that as closer one is to God, as closer Devil is to this person.

I don't think that Christians think that the world is 6,000 years old. Only extremely fundamentalist ones. I am a Christian and I don't believe that. I know that the world is billions of years old. And even if there were life on other planets, what we stop me to imagine that God created that one as well?

That is a nutty questions for a couple of reasons.
1) you started off saying "serious question for Christians" then you blew it by saying;
2)What if aliens landed right in your hometown.....
Ridiculous! I'll worry about it IF it happens.

Ah, the little green men question, I have seen this so often....but I will give you my answer anyway.
Picture it: the shiny saucer landing, the door opening, the little green men coming out and looking around.
Then they would look you dead in the eyes and say: "What, you mean to tell me that you guys haven't figured out Jesus is God yet??"
Seriously though, I don't believe in aliens, I don't have enough FAITH to believe in aliens. This entire universe is here for US and us alone. To think anything different is to make up an excuse that removes your own responsibility for your actions.
