Thinks that always been the case. Long hair makes girls more feminine. Just like why only girls wear skirts? If you like to grow your hair long, do feel free. Don't think there are laws against guys having long hair.

If you asked this question in the 1960's - 70's, it would have had to have been the other way around. There's no ryhme or reason to it.
