yes they can be trained takes patience though...if you have children that's not the best type of dog to have with children.you have two bad breeds mixed together to make one very aggressive dog.Dalmatians are the worst dog to get for children they are not tolerant of kids and the pit bull is just plain dangerous around kids they attack without warning.so i would take this mutt to a trainer and see if they can help with the basic obedience training.

I hope your dad didn't pay this horrible breeder any money. The puppy should still be with the breeder for another four weeks, but if the breeder is that bad, then maybe it's best the puppies aren't with them. Anyway, do report them to your local ASPCA, Humane Society, etc and tell them the situation, as it's illegal in most states to give or sell puppies before 8 weeks of age, mama or no. A good breeder would have kept the puppies regardless. Anyway, call your vet and talk to them. The puppy hasn't had any shots, I don't care what the breeder says. Without papers showing it had any shots, her word isn't worth crap, not that I'd believe the papers were authentic, anyway. Edit: To the first poster..yes, it IS possible for a puppy to be a Pit Bull, Chihuahua. If the daddy was the Chihuahua, that means the mama laid down and let him tie with her. It's not rocket science. I knew a dog that was so butt ugly he was cute. He was a Pit Bull/Dachshund mix. I know another dog that's GSD/Chihuahua mix, etc etc etc.

I am a dog lover and I used to always think I loved ALL dogs. However, now that I am a mother and keep hearing story after story after story about a pit bull (or mix) attacking a child, as mean as this sounds, I have a hate towards that breed. I would say it's how their raised, yada, yada but I know for a fact some of it is in their blood. My ex's parents had a chow. The dog and I got along great for years and then one day he turned on me. ME, the biggest animal lover ever, for no reason. I don't advise any type of pit bull mix around a child, that's JMO though.

I had a pit-bull mixed with lab and greman shepard. She was the smartest dog ever. And simple to train. Soon after bringing her home we found out I was preggo. We had heard too many stories about pit-bull or mixed pit-bull attacking children so we played it safe and my bf's parents took our dog. We still get to see her all the time and I think she remembers us.
