The idea of you being mocked for being 28 and single is pretty bad. I'm 38 and in the process of being dumped by what I thought was the love of my life. Hurts like everything, but I know I will be fine. And Guess what.... YOU will be fine too. Life is all about experiences. Each experience makes you a stronger, more well rounded person with a much richer life. Even the bad experiences do this. As a professional, you are obviously NOT retarded. and there is not a single person on earth that is worthless. It sounds like you have a good bit of passion, openess, and many other good things to offer; both to your friends and the people around you AND to any potential boyfried. If any of those people don't appreciate and respect who you are and what you offer, then surround yourself with different people. Now, head up, chest out, shoulders back, eyes wide open. Enjoy your world. Even with the bad things.... it's still a wonderful place. This above all else... to thine own self, be true.

Jessy, it is probably a chemical imbalance like mine and millions of others. The imbalance causes clinical depression. The difference in clinical and situational depression is that the clinical is a sickness, because it has a biological cause, whereas situational depression is just natural sadness due to the loss of someone, etc. That is why there seems to be no reason for the symptoms, because the clinical depression is something you have, and the other is something you get now and then. A lot of people don't realize they have it, because they don't see any reason to be that way. So just go to any doctor at first, they will probably put you on anti-depressants and then set you up with some counseling.

There are a number of things that can cause or lead to feelings of sadness and apathy. Depression is the most obvious of these, and affects millions of people! Another is hormonal imbalances, such as those experienced during puberty and menopause. Yet another is a chemical imbalance in the brain. To really know which one cause is the culprit in any given case a person has to see both a medical and a mental health professional as the problem might be physical, psychological, or a combination of both.

The brain dislikes having to relearn anything and will make unbalanced chemicals and discharge them into the spinal fluid blood . When we force our brain to deal with wrong expectations for love and sex we get an extreme anxiety called depression. These unbalanced chemicals are still in your brain fluid much later than when you were thinking about a stressful situation and these chemicals are the cause your feeling so sad without reason. They are so powerful and we can be disinterested in anything that is happening around us. For others these chemicals make a real total body pain.

I find the reason that happens to me and most of the time is because Im alone. When your alone you think alot more an tend to think back on things you wish you could change or things that make you sad, like a passing of a loved one, maybe an ex gf. So the best cure for me is to either be w/ people I care about or deal w/ being alone w/ your chin up and dont let it get you down. Theres no reason anyone should feel sad theres always smttn to smile about. Hell just being alive is smttn to smile abour right?

A lot of time you feel bad about yourself because of little things going on your life and take it out on other people by how you treat them and how you talk to them, being abusive and mean, which in turn makes you feels even worse
It can be a vicious cycle
