No, off of the Base they are just like you and me and the state would require them to get a concealed weapons permit. On baseit is not authorized, at least at Camp Lejeune it wasnt not even for CID or NCIS they had to wear there's in plain view

Yeah, anyone can carry a concealed weapon with a CONCEALED WEAPONS PERMIT! Military personnel dont have to sit through the 8 hour course, thats about it.

Not sure about Marines, but I know Army can in civilian if they have their CCW permit. They have to follow the CCW laws. Can't have it in posted places, government buildings like bases or court houses, or place where government officials have meetings.

as a general rule no. the only exception would be NCIS (naval criminal investigation service) and they would have to be working to be armed. when i was in marines. the only time i was armed was on duty in the field and i never heard of officers in general armed.
