I would actually say that superstition is bad inductive reasoning. ("Last time I threw salt behind my back...")

A few time I've made bad inductive arguments, like when my cars broken. ("It's right after an oil change, so maybe that was it.") But when I'm confronted with truth, I abandon that.

So never? I hope?
