No, because everything recorded to tape is a video signal. So it would be impossible for a program to pick out a video signal from a video signal, because it wouldnt be able to tell the difference. And even if it could, lets say it detected photos by the length of time there was no motion, a locked off tripod shot could also be taken as a photo, even when it was a video. So basically, you have to do it yourself. Or better, record to an SD card if your camera has the option. Or even better, buy a digital camera, and forget you took pictures and video with the same thing in the first place. Or even better, win the lottery, and buy me a car, and a house, and a brand new xl-h1 and hvx200. Hope this helps!

I believe there isn't. The photos it captures are low resolution and you can get a copy by playing your video with a software like Power DVD and when the image you want is being played just click the camera icon to capture the shot.
Open Photoshop and create a new image, ctrl+v and that's it, you have the image created, give it a name and save as JPG.
Good luck!

I am sure they do but then it would be out of mine and yours price range. Basically, you would have a video editor to go and capture the parts of the tapes you want.

Seems the automatic part is in the CIA hands. They can monitor calls and capture the ones that have certain words in them. They could probably do the auto copy of pics if they had a need to do this.
