I bought a samsung mini-dv camcorder for super cheap. Can I rerecord on the digital tapes?

Yes you can! I have done that dozens of times and the result is as if the tape were new.

Yes. These tapes function just like the older VHS tapes and audio cassette tapes and most other magnetic recording tape in that you can erase and write over them as many times as the tape will allow, before wearing out. You, yourself, will probably wear out before they do, though, so don't worry. Go ahead and shoot that video.

Yes, but dont do it if, say its your best friend's wedding, and you're the only person who's getting video of it. So what i'm trying to say is, you can do it, and the quality will be okay (slightly less quality or about the same), but record over enough times, and eventually it will lead to drop outs. Hope this helps!
