Scripture clearly tells us salvation is conditional. Also, Christians are not accepting the very words of our Lord, of the Bible?
Here is what I asked:
I think you should read Mt. 7:21-23.
Christians beware! Jesus himself said, Not everyone who calls me Lord, Lord will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only those who do what my father in heaven wants them to do. When the judgment day comes, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord! In your name we spoke God's message, by your name we drove out many demons and performed many miracles!’ Then I will say to them, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me you wicked people!’ Mt 7:21-23
The will of God is to be obedient and repent of our sins, not give in to them. These words of our Lord speaks to everyone. Our Lord, himself, was tempted physically, mentally, and spiritually. The spiritual temptation is knowing the truth but rejecting it. I hope this answers your question. God help us all.

Just like love, faith is expressed through action. Someone can claim they love you a hundred times a day, but if their actions/or lack thereof don't back up their claim, we have cause for doubt. Likewise, if you're truly saved, as an expression of your love and obedience to God, your faith should produce good works. BUT, works cannot save you. You can never earn your way into Heaven - it is only through grace by faith (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Using the verses you posted, it sounds like they indeed did good works (they spoke God's word, drove out demons, and performed miracles). But, as we can see in the verse that follows, these good works did not save them.
Yes, our faith should produce a change in us and should spur us to action, but this is what the Bible says you must do to be saved:
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." -Romans 10:9-10
"Then they asked him, 'What must we do to do the works God requires?' Jesus answered, 'The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.' -John 6:28-29
"He then brought them out and asked, 'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?' They replied, 'Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.'" -Acts 16:30-31
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." -Ephesians 2:8-9

Friend, I'm a Christian and I know something about the Lord and the Word but this is downright a confusing question and seems more a statement and warning to fellow believers is it not?
I think I agree with you. Faith will bring forth fruits in a Christian's life. I feel my need for more of the spirit, more faith, hope and charity and especially lots more charity because it is patient, long-suffering, beareth all things, etc. In the last days the love of many shall wax cold. I think the darker it gets (gross darkness covering the land) the more difficult it will be to just stand. We will all need the wisdom to have oil for ourselves and be able to touch the throne of God for all our needs. (The just shall live by faith.) I think it's time to look up for our redemption draweth nigh. The ones who endure until the end shall be saved so keep on keeping on because we are almost HOME! We are more than conquerers through Christ Jesus and keeping our sins under the blood is the only way we will have garments unspotted by the world!

Also here are these verses regarding the reverse:
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Yes, I believe faith without works is dead. Read the book of James. Also I John. They will know you by your LOVE for one another. Love is clearly defined in the Bible as an ACT, not a feeling.
I know I am saved because of the fruit in my life.
Also, it should be noted that "works" are NOT required for salvation, they are simply a sign that you are saved. Out of the abundance of your heart, out of gratefulness for eternal life, you will be moved to do works to please God. But they are not a condition of salvation by any means.
Jesus on the cross said "It is finished," not It is almost finished as soon as you go pick up trash by the side of the freeway and witness to ten people a month."

James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

To know the verse and the answer is not to know salvation. To do to the least and to love and not hate, this is to know salvation. Remember that Jesus also says, "The Father wants your heart and not you words" Be doers of the word and not hearers only." Better to be a Christian with callouses on his hands and feet than on his backside.

If you say that you have faith and there is no fruit, you are a liar and you really had no faith at all.
If you think that your faith is based on your own works even 10% your saying that the finished work of Christ is imperfect. Read Galatians, and the rest of the epistles.

It is dead. Because it is on James 2:26. That believing without work is dead. We can't go to heaven.
