The Bible tells us that NONE, as in no one is seeking after God, they seek only to fill the hole in their hearts. God finds you.

All things work together for good to them who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. I believe that is true and that it's God's will that not any should perish but that all should come to repentance. I believe that each person, God allows things to happen in their lives to build character and so that when He saves us, we can comfort others in the same way that God comforted us and share our testimony of "God did this for me in the same situation you are in and can do the same for you."
There is also chastisement and His allowing our faith to be tried so we will come forth as gold. The rest is called "time and chance happeneth to everyone" and "it rains on the just and the unjust". We do know all good things come from the Father. We only find ourselves through finding God and learning to trust in and lean upon Him no matter what comes our way. God doesn't promise a bed of roses but in fact promises that those who live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. At least when we do, He's right there with us and has been there before. We are only complete when we find the lover of our souls, Jesus Christ the righteous.

It could be done by faith, but by whatever path you take, you'll find out that who you were destined to be is who you were all along.
