of course it's ok!! Unless... you care about how people see you and you don't like to be associated with younger people... I don't think it's an issue though. It happened all the time when I was in school. Now if you're in college and she's in HS, then THAT's a problem... but I'm assuiming that's not the case.

yes. totally. one year is no big difference at all. if you were 50 something and she was 20 something, then maybe you'd need to be second-guessing yourself, because you'd be old enough to be her grandfather, but that's not the case here. Go getcha some, my brother.
