Ive been getting to know this girl a lot in class
we text, talk, flirt, all the time, laughs @ all my jokes (even when they are REALLY bad )
ive asked her to chill before but always seems to have something to do that day or is busy. she also tells me she really want's to hang out and shes sorry for being so busy. and im a really sweet guy. we were suppose to do something this week, but blew me off cuz she had to go to a friends party, did she not know when it was when we first made plans??
my friend tells me to go for it, but i dont want to waste my time, also im not very self confident sometimes i make excuses not to, and also i dont want to make it wierd if we are still gonna be friends, but i just get the vibe and its distraction----
plus she likes some dude. she tells me about. dont think its very serious

be self confident. do not make a fool of yourself by begging or looking desperate. be honest. "i'd like to hang out sometime, heres my number, call me when your available" if she's telling you about another guy she likes then she is not very sure of her feelings right now. be a friend and no pressure. and do not take yourself "off the market" for someone else while she is confused and keeping you around as a buddy. just make more female friends and be a good guy to all of them. it will make you all the more attractive to the right woman when she sees how many woman friends you have that like and respect you.

She's a flake and you deserve better. As a rule, if anyone breaks plans with you more than twice, leave them alone. She might not be playing you but you're not high on her priority list and if you like her, that's not the place you want to be. You can remain her friend but you don't need to take her crap. Find someone who doesn't make plans with you only to break them when something better comes along. If she's telling you about another dude, she doesn't see you in a boyfriend way anyhow so yeah, you're wasting your time with this one. Sorry hun, but you can do better.

You basically answered your own question at the end of your statement. If she told you that she likes this other guy, then that's probably why she's been giving you the cold shoulder and canceling plans with you. She was probably chillin with the other guy all along, and was lying about being busy and partying with her other friends. It seems like she's just playing games with you.

find a nice girl that treats you with respect. emails and chatting just is a bunch of hot air. you can tell her bye bye, you have a gal (even if you don't), just so that you can give her one of those free, in the mail calendars to tell her where to write down her appointments. what a flake.

If she's talking to you about a guy she likes, it sounds to me that she is viewing you as a trusted friend, not as relationship material.
