Had a really big crush on him even though he has a girlfriend. And then he ends up inviting you to his girlfriends to house to hang out with him, her and his friends? Argh. It's very frusterating. I feel stupid, I want to be a good friend but its hard for me to fight back the crush, i'm horrible its depressing. :[

In those situations, you have to accept the pain and let the crush go. Maybe turn the invitation down and hang out with other friends.

I've had to deal with having a crush on somebody who was unavailable, and being close to somebody you want but can't have is just harder than it's worth. When she invited me to her wedding to the guy she picked over me, I decided not to go.

Finding a substitute crush isn't always a good idea, either. You can just end up reapplying the feelings you have for one person to somebody who doesn't generate them, and eventually that relationship falls apart because you don't really feel as deeply for the second person, and it turns into a bunch of unnecessary drama. At least, that was my experience.

Alot of the best relationships start off as friends. Just keep your friendship open. One day he may see you as more than a friend. Until then just be the best-est friend you can be.
