You just found out,
The really bad news,
Theres a warrant for your arrest,
Bet you got the blues.

What will happen,
to you when you go,
I'll tell you dear,
So you will know,

If you have not been in trouble,
Alot in the past,
The cops will know this,
Off the computer real fast.

And if you have been,
A pretty good person,
They'll ask you a question,
Without any kers'in,

Can you appear,
In court on this day,
If you say yes,
Then you most certainly may,

Write your promise,
To them to appear,
At court on that day,
Dont bring any fear.

The judges are human,
At least most of them are,
Tell them your version,
And how good you are.

That you made a mistake,
It wont happen again.
Apologize to the county,
For time they had to spend.

Surely this will get you,
Out of it this time,
But it will definately cost you,
Alot more than a dime!!!

No Sweetie-They will not arrest you- They will have you to sign A written promise to appear and set you a court date- BUT only if you have not been in lots of trouble before or had any failure to appears. Good Luck

It all depends on the warrant ammount, I work for a agency, if the warrant is $3000 or less, we don't arrest we Cite & Release you, but if its $5000 or more, then yes... you would be arrested, my best advice for you is simply turn yourself in, its not worth being on the run. You never know, one day your driving along with your kids, a police officer pulls you over, they check your license and to see if you have a warrant, you do come back with one, then your placed under arrest and your kids get turned over to CPS, not worth it my friend!

Not all warrents are for arrest. Some are warrents to appear in court or whatever. Anyway they should be good to you if you do turn yourself in.

Yes, once a "Warrant of Arrest" is issued against you, you will be under the Police wanted list.

Yes. There was a local '' amnesty program , where the police
would forgive scofflaws who didn't pay fines , didn't show
up to court etc. On TV they interviewed one old geezer who
assumed he would be absolved but they discovered another
warrant and arrested him! Doesn't pay to trust authority too much.

Yes, unless you are outside the warrant's geographical limits. I advise you find out what the bond amount is & make sure you bring it with you. Unless it is a "no bond" warrant, you will be able to pay the bond and be released with a new court date.

If they didn't arrest you, they would be violating a court order.

It would really depend on what the warrant was for. It it was a bench warrant for failure to appear for a traffic offense and your a local resident the chances are good that they'll take down your personal information and advise you to take care of it on your own. At least that's what I've done and many of my fellow officers.

If the warrant was for a criminal offense, you won't walk,

Probably, make sure you take some cash or a credit card so you can just pay it off with out going to jail.

This is just an educated guess...but you may find yourself arrested for two 'criminal offences'.

1. For being so dumb.
2. For the warrant's reason.
