If you don't have strong abdominal muscles, you can work on that by doing a lot of situps and leg lifts.
But at the end of the day, you have to reduce your body fat percentage. you will not be able to see your muscles, however big they may be, if they are covered by a layer of fat. Like they say, abs are made in the kitchen.

LIPOSUCTION...........if your not interested, here's a crazy though instead of buying a product, try joining a gym. Lots of Cardio will burn off the fat that is covering the muscle, yes you do have solid muscle under your belly. It's not just sit ups and crunches, you have to do those as well to build up and define your abdominals, but if there's fat covering your 6 pack no one will see those new abs you worked for. Also dieting will speed the process up quite a bit, research how to use the glycemic index to your advantage instead of a fad diet like atkins or south beach, any weight lost initially will go right back when the dieting stops. One product I can endorse is a Polar Heart rate monitor, it keeps you working out in the perfect zone so your work outs are as efficient as can be... Lance Armstrong uses one for a reason.

I found that what helped me was breaking down the total number of sit-ups/push-ups I wanted to do. While at work, every hour I would step away and do between 20-40 sit-ups/push-ups. By the end of the day, you will have accumulated a good number. And this didn't seem to hinder my regular workouts where I also did sets of sit-ups and push-ups. In fact, I lost my stomach (which wasn't that big in the first place) in a few weeks.

Mmm, however seriously sit-ups are preety bad for ab build up, you need a weight-room and I would recommend you hire a personal trainer and sit down, list your goals, and they can either personally direct you or he can give you a plan to follow.
Cutting the long stuff, however, it basicly takes crunches, ab machines, and diet with fewer calories. Extra calories all go to the gut.
