i need some help here.
#1. i want to get mac screen savers, i. e. the fire screen saver you see on a mac w/ Mac OS X, on my windows PC. i have win xp, so i'm cool. Where can you get them?
#2. do you need a program, if so, which one to make mac applications work on windows xp (with the extensions, .app and .dmg)?

not!

the reason the mac screen savers are so cool is because they run on os x with quicktime and dozens of other code bases.

and not,

dmg files contain .app files which require OS X, so even if you could open a dmg , it would do you no good.

but if you install vmware, you might be able to get OS X to run on your pc!

Actually most of the COOL Mac screensavers come freely from linux, so can easily get them if you get the program "StyleXP". As for running mac programs on PC, it is 100% possible but it can be such a head-ache and i dont want to get you into that.
